Smiling Gecko Health & Dental Clinic
The Smiling Gecko Health & Dental Clinic makes an important contribution to primary healthcare for the local population, filling a critical gap in provision. It brings medical and dental services together under one roof, a model that remains rare in rural Cambodia and even in urban areas. With around 5,000 medical treatments and more than 1,200 dental examinations each year, the clinic has become a cornerstone of local healthcare. For serious cases, it also makes more than 50 referrals a year to partner and referral hospitals, ensuring that patients receive care even when local facilities cannot meet their needs.
Alongside primary care, the clinic provides prevention programmes and health advice for pupils, staff and surrounding communities.
