Cambodia is one of Asia’s poorest countries. Education offers a way out of hardship. With an annual budget of more than CHF 2 million, the school is by far Smiling Gecko’s most important project. What began with 140 children in 2017 is now a school for more than 600. Our goal is to welcome 50 additional children each year until we reach a maximum of around 800.

We believe that good education is expensive, while poor education achieves nothing. Our ambition goes beyond school qualifications for future factory workers and farmers: we want to educate the country’s next doctors, lawyers and hotel managers.
